This lively tale following a group of college friends as they grow old together features romance, friendship, nostalgia and laughter in spades. Bollywood veteran Pritam has deftly transposed these emotions to the film's feisty soundtrack: from the poppy guitar and jaunty whistling of "Woh Din" to the foot-stomping rhythms of "Control", the music director has his finger on the thematic pulse. However, it's Indipop icon KK's "Kal Ki Hi Baat Hai" that steals the show: a mournful ballad that proves to be the perfect vehicle for the singer's versatile voice.
