Juicy J’s surprise 2024 LP Mental Trillness 2 begins with a prayer. The Three 6 Mafia member introduces the project with the call for serenity, widely known as the invocation used in Alcoholics Anonymous: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.” It sets the tone for the entire album, which is a contemplative, spiritual adjoining to 2023’s Mental Trillness. On the aforementioned “Serenity”, Juicy reflects on where he came from, and all the changes he’s made to be the man he is now.
