Classically trained producer Igor Matvienko is famed for giving traditional sounds a contemporary spin—and some of his best work has been his songwriting for the band Lube. Their reimagining of folk and chanson, along with Lube frontman Nikolay Rastorguev's earthy lyricism, has won them fans throughout Russia. On the lighter side, Matvienko makes perfect, dance-infused pop with Viktoriya Dayneko.
