Since beginning with Taiwan’s Magic Stone Records, Naiwen Yang has forged her own musical path. The particular aesthetic emblematic of Magic Stone was an early influence on Naiwen Yang experimenting with sounds outside of mainstream pop. Her first pop rock album, One was released in 1997 and gained the artist a great deal of attention. Her follow-up album called Silence won her the “Best Female Singer” award from Golden Melody, and firmly established Yang as a key Chinese vocalist. Yang would go on to release a number of albums like Should, Continuation, and ZERO, each of which were similarly received with high praise for the artist. When listening to her hits across the years, her vocal style and prowess remain consistent and distinctly hers. With the introduction of experimental and electronic styles in The More Beautiful, The More Invisible, Naiwen Yang continues to maintain her stature in the world of music.
