Averaging roughly two album releases a year, Marco Barrientos is a Mexican-born pastor, label head and singer who has helped spread praise & worship throughout Latin America. This includes the Latino population of Texas, where he founded the Aliento church in 2004. Barrientos’ long-term success (he began recording in the ’80s) can partly be attributed to his stylistic variety. While many of his most popular songs, such as “Lo Único Que Quiero”, are the kind of rousing ballads that praise & worship fans have always loved, Barrientos has also created guitar rockers and dance pop for the youth who enjoy energetic church experiences.
