In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my mother slowly dancing while singing Harry Belafonte songs in the kitchen. The combination of melancholy and groove enchanted me. It still does. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Allison Russell, Outside Child Gillian Welch, The Harrow & The Harvest Prince & The Revolution, Around The World In A Day Around The World In A Day made me want to be a musician, such a rich album, it showed me what music can be. The Harrow and The Harvest is my ultimate comfort album and Outside Child is the album I listened to most in the last years. Tell us why you chose this song. “Listen to You Breathe” This song brings together some of the things I hold dear, the beautiful string arrangement, the reference to a John Donne poem, the swaying between different rhythmical structures. We often play it in the encore and it's always a magical moment. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think the first time I sold out a show will forever stand out in my memory. And that time when Americana-UK gave my album a 10 / 10 review. Most of all it's the personal letters I get from listeners about what my songs mean to them. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to play at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre one day. There's a lot of 'red rocks' in my songs, maybe we are meant to come together.
