Taiwanese indigenous singer A-Mei Chang has gone through a few musical incarnations over the course of her career, but whether she's singing hushed ballads or straight-on rock, she puts all of her emotions into her music. From her debut, she focused on releasing sunny pop songs with positive messages and crystalline melodies, sometimes incorporating the rhythms of Puyuma tribal music. But she's since explored other genres and other uses for her strong pipes: as well as branching out into slinky R&B and bossa nova tunes, she's released some dramatic rock songs as AMIT (her Puyuma name).
