About The New Bomb Turks
Playing knuckled-headed garage punk at ungodly speeds, Ohio's New Bomb Turks established themselves as one of the finest acts in the 1990s garage rock movement. The band's often underrated musicianship and wry, literate lyrics, courtesy of lead singer Eric Davidson, kept them going strong well past the expiration date for many of their contemporaries. Beginning with their now-classic 1993 debut DESTROY-OH-BOY on Crypt Records, the Turks churned out raunchy straight-no-chaser punk for a variety of labels, including (oddly enough) West Coast pop-punk mainstay Epitaph, who released what is arguably the band's finest all-around slab, 2000's NIGHTMARE SCENARIO.
