About Niccolò Fabi
Born in Rome in 1968, Niccolò Fabi learned studio recording techniques from his father, a veteran producer in the 1970s Italian prog scene. As a student in Rome during the early '90s, Fabi played in various clubs around the city, befriending and collaborating with fellow singer/songwriters like Max Gazzè and Riccardo Sinigallia, the latter of whom brought Fabi's demo to Virgin Records, setting him up for a deal. His debut, Il Giardiniere, arrived in 1997, a year that also saw Fabi perform at the San Remo Festival. In 1998 his self-titled sophomore album was released, followed by 2000's Sereno Ad Ovest and 2003's La Cura del Tempo. In 2006 the best-of collection Dischi Volanti came out, along with Novo Mesto, Fabi's fifth studio album. ~ Marisa Brown
