By the time Wataru Hatano released his debut album as a singer, he'd already left his unique stamp on dozens of animated TV shows and video games. With his emotive vocals, Hatano fuses different flavours of rock music in his recordings, even dipping into power metal. The Nagano native became a voice acting star in the early ‘00s, lending his voice to traditional anime as well as more experimental adaptations, including an anime version of Les Misérables. His talent with rock ‘n' roll can't be denied, though—Hatano knows how to belt out an anthem.
