In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memories are probably with my cousin- we would make beats and drum together with buckets and sticks. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cleo Sol, Mother D.K., Love on Delivery - EP Dabeull, Intimate Fonk "Intimate Fonk" is my type of sound- groovy and fun. I love music that isn't afraid to "stand out". D.K. has a similar style, but I love Cleo Sol for the songwriting and beauty in her melodies. So much great music from all these artists. I honed in on my love for Japanese culture, drawing inspiration from the book "The Inland Sea" by Donald Richie, his journies through Japan were exotic and exciting, which I tried to capture in this EP.
