In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, rainy jeepney rides and OPM radio ballads defined me. I didn't know heartbreak yet, but I felt the heavy melody. That comfort in sadness is the core of WAKASA VII. It is finding beauty in pain and company in loneliness. Ben Platt, Laura Dreyfuss, Pasek & Paul, Will Roland, Dear Evan Hansen (Original Broadway Cast Recording) Ben&Ben, Limasawa Street juan karlos, Diwa These define my sonic DNA. I draw cinematic storytelling from Ben&Ben, raw honesty from juan karlos, and theatrical emotion from Ben Platt. They taught me that vulnerability is strength and sadness can be beautiful. It captures the silence after the door finally closes. It is the most painful track because it isn't about fighting anymore. It is about the bravery of accepting the end. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Receiving personal messages from strangers saying they finally felt understood. It turns my lonely late-night writing into a shared healing space. Knowing my private grief gave someone else comfort is the only award I need. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To hear my song playing on a jeepney radio while it rains. That is the full circle moment I write for. To go from the kid listening in the passenger seat to the artist on the airwaves. That would be enough.
