The Wombats bring a welcome blast of sloppy and playful fun to modern indie rock. On their 2007 debut album, the UK band bashed out a mix of sing-along Britpop choruses, classic New Wave hooks and wobbly rhythms that were equal parts New Order, Happy Mondays and Oasis.
