Punk Rock in Korea

Shout-along hooks and mosh-sparking guitars are staples of Korea's punk rock sound. Sprouting up from underground clubs around Seoul, pop-punk leaning units such as the bands Crying Nut and No Brain helped spread the style to a larger audience. Today, they share space with more chaotic and boisterous groups like BettyAss and the trumpet-fancying Burning Hepburn in a diverse scene.
