Liars: Next Steps

Of all the bands to rise out of New York's post-punk revival in the early-‘00s, Liars have been the most unpredictable. While the trio embraced the scuzzy funk and sass of groups like Gang of Four and The Birthday Party, they also adopted the anything-goes approach of classic krautrock greats like Can and Faust, blending tribal rhythms and avant-garde noise with cheeky aplomb.
