Cantopop singer Endy Chow isn't afraid to let his voice roar with emotion over the uptempo guitar and pounding drums that propel his rock songs forward. The Hong Kong-born artist's band background is evident on mosh-pit-friendly cuts like “Hui Ren”, where his yelps rise above a punishing wall of sound, giving way only for the neon trails of a guitar solo. On slower, piano-anchored numbers (“Reunion”), Chow's voice betrays the passion behind the words, almost cracking at times with the effort of holding back a flood.
