A gifted Israeli jazz pianist, Shai Maestro first broke onto the scene playing with bassist Avishai Cohen's trio in 2008. He then embarked on a fruitful solo career, issuing albums such as 2012's The Road to Ithaca and The Dream Thief, his 2018 leader debut for ECM.
