Forged in Mazatlán, Sinaloa in 2003, the ambitious, tambora-driven project explores the many flavours of banda. Boasting enormous brass and rhythmic talent that's deeply rooted in northern Mexico, the 15-member ensemble can craft a playful polka (“Cahuates, Pistaches”), emote lovelorn poetry (“Solo con Verte”) and amp up the party on a soaring dance-floor heater (“Me Gusta Tu Vieja”). The swirling, melodic horns are underpinned by authentic norteño richness.
