About Cornelio Vega y Su Dinastía

Singer-songwriter Cornelio Vega, Jr., of the Mexican Regional group Cornelio Vega y Su Dinastia, became famous as a teen when he began posting covers of norteño music on social media. ∙ Cornelio Vega y Su Dinastia formed when acclaimed singer Cornelio Vega, Sr., proposed that he and his son join forces and unite the family’s musical talents. ∙ The group was not the pair’s first musical collaboration—at age six, Vega, Jr., wandered onstage during his father’s live TV performance and insisted on joining his dad for a duet. ∙ Their 2014 video for “Adicto a Ti” (“Addicted to You”), composed by Vega, Jr., racked up millions of views and inspired fans to call themselves “addicts” of the band. ∙ In 2016, the younger Cornelio participated in the talent-competition show Tengo Talento Mucho Talento with his brother, Valentín Vega, which led to their first record contract. ∙ The group won the Bandamax television network’s award for Most Popular Artist on Social Media in 2017.
