Acerca de Avatar

Banda sueca de death metal melódico formada en Gotemburgo en 2001 por John Alfredsson y Jonas Jarisby (ambos integrantes de Lost Soul), además de Johannes Eckerström, Henrik Sandelin y Simon Andersson. Tras editar el EP Reasons to Die en 2004, el grupo fue contratado por Gain Records y en 2006 lanzó su debut Thoughts of No Tomorrow. A continuación Avatar consolidó su ascenso a través de frecuentes giras europeas junto a bandas como Impaled Nazarene, Evergrey o Stone Sour y discos como Schlacht (2007), Black Waltz (2012) o Hail the Apocalypse (2014) - este último logró incluso ingresar en la lista Billboard 200. Luego de editar su séptimo álbum de estudio Avatar Country en 2018, un año después la banda presentó su primera producción en vivo, The King Live in Paris.
