The Hotpepper Singers weave powerful romantic narratives, using gentle melodies and theatrical arrangements to aim straight for the heart. The brainchild of prolific musician Pracheen Songpao, the group (whose name is taken from an album released by Songpao's previous band) recount the highs and lows of love through pristine pop, which brims with wistful inflections and lush orchestration. Despite a rotating roster of singers, their output remains tender, harmonic and consistently charming.
