Best of SST Records

Named after the mail-order radio parts business Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn had run since he was 12, SST Records first defined Southern California hardcore and then tore up its rule book. After making its name with Black Flag and Descendents, the label added Hüsker Dü, Minutemen, Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. to its roster, as the original SST acts moved into more experimental territory.
