Minor Threat: Next Steps

Apple Music

As much as Minor Threat heralded a new, ideologically charged era of punk, the '80s hardcore heroes always paid respect to their '60s-garage forebears, whether taking Paul Revere's “Steppin' Stone” for a circle-pit spin or faithfully underpinning The Standells' “Good Guys (don't wear white)” with acoustic (!) strums. That tuneful sensibility also filtered down to atypically playful originals like the cheeky ‘70s-punk throwback “Cashing In”.
