About Little Jesus

Little Jesus is an indie rock quintet from Mexico City. Their self-developed "tropipop" sound melds bright, hooky indie and electronic pop, '90s-era Rock en Español, and Beatlesque vocal harmonies with frenetic guitars, hypnotic percussion, sparkling keyboards, and marimbas. Their explosive live show has taken them across Latin America, Europe, the U.S., and Asia. Their debut album Norte was issued in 2014 by Fuerzas Basicas, and 2017's Rio Salvaje was issued by Casete and distributed by Nacional. Led by frontman and founder Santiago Casillas, Little Jesus prefer to let the mestizaje (loosely translated as "hybridization") in their music do the talking. In 2019 they released Disco de Oro for Sony Music; it earned gold certification. Between 2022 and 2023, they issued 16 singles including "Los Esclavos," "Buenos Dias, Tardas Ya," and "Futbol Rock." 2024's El Show Debe Continuar focused on exploring each creative whim in order to stretch each of the genres it considered to its breaking point.
