As a young boy, Anson Hu vowed to release his first CD by the time he turned 18. He worked hard toward that boyish goal, and finally released Wen Wu Shuang Quan in 2002—shortly after his 19th birthday. His debut album became an instant hit, winning fans over with a smart pop sensibility. Songs such as "Monk" and "Tell Me" quickly established Hu as Mandopop's golden boy. Today, the man is better known as Tiger Hu—while the name's changed, his music continues to flaunt catchy elements of R&B, rock and electronica.
