MX LONELY

Brooklyn "grungegaze" quartet Mx Lonely combine the shimmering wash of shoegaze with the gnarled, sludgy heaviness of early grunge to visceral effect. Formed in 2019 under the moniker V0idb0ys, they put out one album, Dog, in 2020. When the pandemic hit, they reinvented themselves as Mx Lonely and self-recorded their first album under the new name, Cadonia, which was released in 2022 on Boston label Candlepin. Following the release of their next EP, 2024's Spit, the quartet began to tour nationally, steadily building a following with their intense sound and soul-baring lyrics dealing with neurodivergence, dysphoria, and addiction. Their second full-length album, All Monsters, was released early in 2026 via Philadelphia label Julia's War. ~ John D. Buchanan
