Anna Webber

An inventive Canadian saxophonist who ably straddles the avant-garde and modern classical, Anna Webber began gaining attention after moving to New York in 2008. Alongside playing with luminaries like Dave Douglas, Erik Hove, and Ches Smith, Webber has issued her own investigative albums, including 2014's Refraction with her Percussive Mechanics ensemble; 2016's Binary, which introduced her Simple trio with drummer John Hollenbeck and pianist Matt Mitchell; and 2024's Shimmer Wince with trumpeter Adam O'Farrill.
