About Ärsenik
French rap duo Ärsenik is comprised of brothers Lino and Calbo, who are of Congolese heritage. After compilation and mixtape appearances, they released Quelques Gouttes Suffisent (1998) on the EMI subsidiary Hostile, and it reached the Top Ten of the French charts. The brothers then joined Bisso Na Bisso, a group that released Racines and Le 15 Mai 1999 before splintering. The second Ärsenik album, Quelque Chose a Survécu, followed in 2002. It broke into the Top Ten of the French charts as well, its popularity fueled by the singles "P.O.I.S.O.N." and "Regarde le Monde." Lino and Calbo later pursued solo careers and drastically limited their Ärsenik output. ~ Jason Birchmeier
