When Slight Diversion released his debut EP in 2019, the Indian independent scene got a singer-songwriter whose weathered, intimate voice is reminiscent of the ’60s and ’70s troubadours that undoubtedly inspire him. His second EP channels matters of the heart into tracks such as “Learning How to Fall”. He also gets political—the despair-filled “Breathing the Dead” is written from the perspective of somebody working at a crematorium, while “Realist” is an indictment on the politics of convenience.
