A celebrated prodigy, Christian Li was just 13 when he recorded his debut album, a masterful rendition of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. The Australian-Chinese violinist followed up with an exploration of Mendelssohn, from the monumental Violin Concerto in E Minor to the exquisite “Venetian Gondola Song” with guitarist Xuefei Yang. And Tchaikovsky’s dance movements and Mozart’s moody Violin Sonata No. 21 are showcases for Li’s emotional sensitivity.
