Geoffroy Jourdain

Conductor Geoffroy Jourdain is best known as the creator and director of the innovative small vocal ensemble Les Cris de Paris. He has also served as guest director of various other choral groups, both in France and beyond. With Les Cris de Paris, he has accumulated a substantial recording catalog that extends into music of the contemporary era as well as covering Renaissance repertory. The 2020s have seen several new releases from Jourdain and Les Cris de Paris, covering modern (Berio to Sing, 2021), Baroque (Schütz: David & Salomon, 2022), and Renaissance (Strana armonia d'amore, 2025, covering dissonant material from the late 16th and early 17th centuries), all on the Harmonia Mundi label.
