Lahav Shani

Like his mentor Daniel Barenboim, Lahav Shani is active as both conductor and pianist. He is the music director of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Shani's recording career, though young, is quite varied, extending from piano in chamber music groups to Bruckner symphonies with the Rotterdam Philharmonic. Shani released several recordings of Bruckner symphonies with the Rotterdam Philharmonic in the early and mid-2020s, and, in 2025, he returned with that orchestra on the album Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 3 "Scottish."
