Internet Girl

Offering a confrontational, oversaturated mix of styles including pop-punk, hyperpop, and grungy indie, Internet Girl defy expectations -- beginning with their name -- as a trio from South Africa. They began experimenting with their sound through a series of singles in 2019 and 2020, and their first EP, 2021's the world I love, tended toward pop-punk and indie electronica. Released in 2023, the parasocial interaction EP embraced noisier fuzz and industrial elements while still passing for pop. The collaboration-heavy ROLE MODEL EP blended these sounds with garage punk in blown-out fashion in 2024.
