About Fredo Santana
Chicago rapper Fredo Santana rose from his city’s drill scene in the early 2010s. He released two studio albums and a handful of grim mixtapes before his untimely death in 2018. • An older cousin of Chicago rapper Chief Keef, Santana released his first mixtape, It’s a Scary Site, in 2012. The following year, he dropped the first instalment of his Fredo Kuger series, featuring Migos, Lil Durk, Soulja Boy and more. • Fredo starred as a villain in Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” music video in 2013. • His 2013 debut album, Trappin’ Ain’t Dead, includes features from Kendrick Lamar, Chief Keef, Peewee Longway and more. • In 2017, Fredo dropped his sophomore album, Fredo Kruger 2, featuring Chief Keef, Kodak Black and NBA player Iman Shumpert. • Fredo suffered a fatal seizure in January 2018. He was diagnosed with epilepsy eight months prior to his death.
