Japanese manga series Himouto! Umaru-chan has spawned a soundtrack packed with bouncy J-pop, which Toyko actress Aimi Tanaka playfully delivers in lead character Umaru’s sweet, cheeky voice. As befits the colourful cartoon, the songs are nothing but super fast, high-energy fun, which really bring to life the character of Umaru: a grade A student with a secret side to her personality. Perky tunes such as "Happy Nightmare" and "Beautiful Days", which borrow sounds from her beloved video games, are as bright and boisterous as Umaru herself.
