Sean Price, label founder: "It's tough to chose 25 tracks from 200 releases and 20 years of music. When you run a label as small as Fortuna POP! you live through every release you put out: every song has its own personal meaning beyond its recorded existence, to do with the people in the bands, the weather, who you were in love with that week. It's the same for everyone I guess, but amplified if it's your label. This isn't a greatest hits; I've tried to focus on the bands who've been mainstays of the label rather than the one-offs, and some of the bands may be lost in the mists of time a little now, but The Butterflies of Love were as important to the label as Martha are now. Whatever it is, I hope you enjoy it."
