Best of Slumberland Records, Vol. 1
Apple Music
Founded in 1989 by a group of enterprising indie-pop fans, Slumberland Records spent its first decade leaning towards that genre but with a more adventurous roster than similar labels, including cuts by Stereolab in their earliest and most lo-fi phase. The label also released sweet singles by Velocity Girl and Rocketship, while edgier acts like Hood pointed toward their later post-rock sound.
