Western Vinyl Records' American songwriter roots are well established, having been home to songsmiths like Bonnie "Prince" Billy. The label has also shown an affinity for acts with lush, complex arrangements, such as J. Tillman and The Rosebuds. That's not to say WV can't step out of its comfort zone, though—innovative acts like Dirty Projectors are also part of the talent-filled label.
