Swedish Pop: Past and Present

Apple Music

For over 40 years, Sweden has produced a disproportionate amount of amazing pop per capita. 1974 was an auspicious year: Blue Swede topped the Billboard 100, and ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest on the way to becoming the best-selling band of the '70s. Over the decades, acts like The Cardigans, Ace of Base and Robyn have kept the tradition alive with frequent trips up the international charts.
