Humbert Humbert craft pop-folk tunes as gentle as a nursery rhyme and as lively as an Appalachian hoedown. Since the late ‘90s, the Tokyo duo have cast a wide net, exploring bluegrass with flying fiddle, digging into folk with harmonica and acoustic guitar, and finding frequent inspiration in simple children's tunes. This musical wandering has extended to collaborations with American bluegrass artist Tim O'Brien and Shetland instrumentalists Fiddler's Bid, and has fed a distinctive sound that pairs deep respect for tradition with spirited innovation.
