About Emily Workman

Emily Workman is an American lyric soprano. The recipient of a talent scholarship to Brigham Young University, where she earned her bachelor's degree, Workman won the Nancy Peery Marriott Singer of the Year prize. She pursued graduate studies in the opera program at Yale University. Workman has performed as Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte, Antonia in Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffman, Zemfira in Rachmaninov's Aleko, and the title role of Puccini's Suor Angelica. She has also performed as a concert soloist, notably singing with the Yale Philharmonia in a performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 2, "Resurrection." She sang the role of Countess Almaviva in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro in 2015. Workman appeared in the Polish premiere of Britten's The Turn of the Screw as the Governess, and this live production was released on the Dux label in 2016.
