Aretha Franklin influenced my vocals and stage presence. Stevie Wonder’s range is close to mine and his songwriting is unmatched. The Beatles, introduced by my family, taught me the art of songwriting. I think it’s the song that best reflects where I am in my life at this moment. It felt like my music had become something bigger than just me — it had taken on a life of its own. That’s exactly why I find the idea so exciting — it’s something I’m genuinely curious about and would love to explore.
