Thomas Fonnesbæk

Danish jazz bassist Thomas Fonnesbæk is a prolific bandleader and sideman known for blending modern jazz with lyrical European and Scandinavian traditions. He has led his trio since the 2000s and they released 2013's Sound of My Colors and 2015's Where We Belong. He has collaborated with artists such as pianist Justin Kauflin and vocalist Sinne Eeg, with whom he released 2015's Eeg Fonnesbæk and 2022's Staying in Touch. There have been equally notable collaborations with pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, including 2018's Blue Waltz and 2024's In Rome.
