Peggi Blu

Peggi Blu won the top female vocalist award on the TV show Star Search in 1986, resulting in a contract with Capitol Records and two R&B singles chart entries, "Tender Moments" and "All the Way with You," in 1987. Years later, she became a vocal coach on the TV series American Idol, and was named Vocal Coach of the Year at the 2013 Malibu Music Awards. Blu died on May 18, 2024, at the age of 77. ~ William Ruhlmann
