Sevdaliza is a singer, songwriter, producer and visual artist whose work has continued to evolve since she first began releasing music in the mid-2010s. Born Sevda Alizadeh, she was born in Tehran and moved to the Netherlands when she was five. She began collaborating with Rotterdam producer Mucky, and released two EPs in 2015—The Suspended Kid and Children of Silk. Sevdaliza’s 2017 debut album, Ison, mixed her soulful vocals with experimental electronic production while exploring themes of womanhood and identity. Shabrang arrived in 2020, and further broadened her avant-pop approach. Fluent in Farsi, Dutch, English, French and Portuguese, it was only natural that Sevdaliza would continue to expand her sonic reach; 2025’s HEROINA plays with reggaetón and other Latin-influenced beats, and includes collaborations with Pabllo Vittar and KAROL G.
