Alex & Sierra

The pop duo Alex & Sierra won the third and final season of The X Factor in the US and enjoyed moderate chart success before calling it quits in 2017. • Alex got into music in middle school when he started playing the guitar. Sierra started dancing at age two and studied multiple styles, including hip-hop, jazz, and ballet. • They auditioned together for The X Factor and impressed the judges with their version of the Britney Spears hit “Toxic”. • In addition to winning the overall season, Alex & Sierra received the most number of public votes during each week of the competition. • They released their debut single, “Scarecrow”, in 2014. Later that year, the song appeared on their debut album, It’s About Us, which peaked inside of the Billboard 200. • They announced in 2017 that the group was breaking up—and that they had broken up as a couple the year before.
