Laughter and drama combine on powerhouse composers Salim-Sulaiman’s hit soundtrack Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, in a tale of the quotidian Suri (Shah Rukh Khan) transforming into the bombastic dancer ‘Raj’. Buoyed by Roop Kumar Rathod’s silky vocals, the enchanting, prayer-like ballad “Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai” is a standout—as is the unapologetically goofy “Haule Haule”, which finds lyrics of everyday Punjabi life sweetened with harmonium. “Dance Pe Chance” and “Dancing Jodi” satisfy as exhilarating dance numbers, and mash-up of Bollywood classics “Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte” is pure, joyful fun.
