Zokhuma, also known as Arman Menzies, is a Mumbai-based DJ and producer who writes smartly crafted dance music. (Previously, he played guitars for metal band Goddess Gagged.) His Code EP sways in moods and styles, and he expertly uses tempo shifts and rhythms to sustain four tracks of exultant energy, including the hip-hop-inflected breaks of “Shatter” and the throwback techno pulse of “Radiate”. Here, he creates a concise narrative through dance music motifs and drum grooves as well as accessible melodies.
