Directed by Raj Kanwar in 1992, Deewana features a soundtrack by Nadeem - Shravan, with lyrics by Sameer, and stars Shah Rukh Khan in his Bollywood debut alongside Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti. The majority of the film's songs are romantic duets; highlights include the sweetly sentimental ballad "Aisi Deewangi" sung by Alka Yagnik and Vinod Rathod; Kumar Sanu’s string-backed serenade “Sochenge Tumhe Pyar”; and the romantic duet “Payaliya,” a delicate composition showcasing classical Indian instrumentation and an all-female chorus.
