Notorious Saint Petersburg rock group Leningrad made a name for themselves in the late ‘90s, bursting onto the scene with their in-your-face take on ska and punk. The gruff vocals of Sergey “Shnur” Shnurov take the spotlight, flaunting the band's anti-establishment leanings with lyrics tackling Russian taboos. The band has more than a dozen members—and even more former members—making for a raucous mix of influences and styles. Leningrad's been extremely prolific since their 1999 debut, releasing the album Fish back in 2012 before a hiatus.
